Misyon Yatırım Bankası A.Ş. (“Misyon Bank”) has implemented a change in its senior management in line with its strategic growth objectives. Accordingly, with the resolution of the Board of Directors dated 25 December 2025 and numbered 307, it was resolved to appoint Muhammet Mustafa Cerit as the General Manager of the Bank.
Commenting on the appointment, Erhan Topaç, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Misyon Bank, stated: “We firmly believe that Mr. Muhammet Cerit, one of the leading figures in our sector, will provide strong momentum to Misyon Bank’s strategic goals with his extensive experience in regulation, technology, and banking. I wish Mr. Cerit every success in his new role.”
Founded in 2021, Misyon Bank positions investment banking, custody banking, and digital assets as its core strategic business lines and continues its operations with a sustainable growth vision focused on technology and regulatory compliance in these areas.
With this appointment, Misyon Bank aims to further strengthen its position in the digital finance ecosystem, enhance its operational capabilities, and consistently pursue its strategic priorities with a strong focus on investment banking.
Who is Muhammet Mustafa Cerit?
Muhammet Mustafa Cerit graduated from the Department of Computer Engineering at Hacettepe University in 2000 and completed his master’s degree with thesis in Business Administration at the same university in 2006. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Banking at Marmara University. Cerit is married and has three children.
Mr. Cerit commenced his professional career at the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency in 2001 as an Assistant Banking Specialist. As of 2012, he served as Head of Department, and as of 2016, as Deputy Chairman, undertaking various senior managerial roles in processes relating to financial institutions falling within the Agency’s remit.
Since 2022, Cerit has been serving as Deputy General Manager responsible for Information Systems and Operations at Misyon Yatırım Bankası, where he has led major operational and technological transformation projects, particularly in custody services.
He has also served as a Board Member and General Manager at Misyon Finansal Teknolojiler A.Ş., operating in the field of investment technologies.
